On Saturday, February 25 the City of Santa Clarita will host a lecture by photographer Richard Stanley titled “The Life, The Work, and The Collections of Ansel Adams”. Stanley, a graduate of the Rochester (NY) Institute of Technology, is an Ansel Adams expert and Los Angeles realtor specializing in architecture and historic properties. He will discuss Adams’ career and examine the collections of his photographs that lie outside the “official” archive at the University of Arizona in Tucson, such as collections including those that are in the Library of Congress, the L.A. Library, and the alleged “Fresno” photos that were recently discovered. The lecture will take place at 2 pm in the Century Room at City Hall. Good.

On March 19 at 6:30 pm, Hong Kong impressionist Tim Tien will demonstrate oil painting free to the public, sponsored by the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association. Good.
